i love the pricks.
i love the shit they try to bring up to me almost everyday.
i love that they think i don't know most of the things i already know.
i lovehow they cheat, steal, lie, and try their best to deceive and do me wrong...
thinking i don't know.

i act spaced out at times.
but im not.
yes, i know..
no one told me.
i saw.
i heard you while you thought i wouldn't hear...
i act as if there isn't a damned thing wrong cause i believe that i don't need to do wrong in order to succeed.
yup.

i love how they critique.
i love when they get all looksy with that dumb "what is that?" look on their faces whenever i do something, wear something, "rock" something different.

well...
everyone has eyes to see shiz with, and i've learnt to deal with that.

"See I must tell you all now
Keep on acting funny
Cool with me"

i love the people who are good to me.
the ones who's opinions mean most to me.
or at least more than the pricks.
the ones who have realized im a martian.
it cannot be helped.
im weird.
i know.
-sigh-

but they love it.
right?
right.

however, i must say...
i DO love the pricks the most.
people like them ARE the ones that make people like myself strong, experienced, cautious, and smart
(in the practical way most of the times. so dont go looking for a prick and expect to get a 99.8% average).

"xnay on the bullshit man
my words on how i feel are: f*** that.
I don't give a damn If I met one damn hater.
Talk of town
Don't be afraid of all y'all
All I ask about y'all is to please

Embrace the martian
Embrace the martian
I come in peace
But I need y'all rockin with me
Please
Embrace the martian
And this is how it sounds"

credit paid: the words in brackets are from the song: embrace the martian by kid cudi. & down and out by " "

p.s. dont ask me if whether or not im talking about you...
i hate that.
just figure it out yourself! if you think it applies to you, then it does.
if you know deep down it applies to you...
then most f***ing likely it does.
damn.

p.p.s i dont know what motivated me to write this, i think it was cause i was listening to a song that made me think about it.

Okay, so sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed by the SLEW of information that I get during my journey toward natural hair, and this is what makes me feel not so ready. I don't want to go into this and not know what I'm doing, just having a bunch of information at my disposal and not knowing when to apply them to myself and how exactly. It is quite frustrating when you're dealing with a texture you haven't dealt with for around 10 years!!

So I went searching again for some examples of the tips I got from the Myth Slasher yesterday! =]

Okay, so the first thing on my mind was: What is considered a 'healthy' hair regimen?
So I went searching, and I feel this is my favourite, and I got this from 'Black Girl With Long Hair' a long time ago, and just remembered that I bookmarked the page.
Then I remembered, that I already knew about the Castor oil thing, I just probably forgot that I knew...
-sigh-
Alright so, there's this girl named Brittany, and this is her interview...
http://blackgirllonghair.blogspot.com/2008/12/after-year-and-half.html
And, OH MY GOSH, you should see how much hair she has after a year and a half!!
I was taken back, like someone knocked the air out of me. Maybe to some people they're like "oh whatever" but to me, that is some NOOOYYCE THICK BEAUTIFUL HAIR RIGHT THERE....SON!

So yeah. Read that, I really advise that you read that. Seriously, if you haven't already.
Read that.

Anyways, I went searching some more, on google and found another place that gives you some sort of Template, you can call it, for buying products for your own healthy hair regimen...

"Your regimen, in order to be successful, should contain products that work together to address your two most important hair needs: moisture and protein. It should be basic, flexible, and be able to evolve based on your ever-changing hair needs.

The key to building a solid regimen is finding your own hair tolerance. The information in this article will help you develop the solid foundation you need to successfully build your healthy hair regimen.

One Size Does Not Fit All
As you progress in your hair knowledge, you will soon discover that very few things about hair care are sound gospel. Even the tips in this article are only presented as guides and suggestions to help you on your way! The simple fact is that hair is seasonal. Our hair experiences changes from day to day and week to week depending on a myriad of influencing factors including: humidity, hard water, and bitter cold or sizzling hot temperatures. Hair that was thoroughly moisturized and hydrated one week may become excessively dry and lifeless the next. A regimen that does not take these circumstances into consideration is ultimately a recipe for failure.

Let's Begin!
Now, I will introduce you to the important factors you must consider when choosing the products to support your hair growing regimen. There are two main types of product categories: protein based products and moisture based products. A rule of thumb is: The more you do to your hair chemically, the more of both protein and moisture you will need. The following sections will briefly outline the basic product components of healthy hair regimens based on these categories. A more indepth understanding of protein and moisture and their usefulness for the hair can be found here. "
-click-
Before I copy and paste the rest, this girl has chemically processed hair. So....if you could just ignore some of those things that apply to the relaxed hair..it should all work out the same. (but I'll still try to figure out if there's much of a difference)

"
Moisture

Hair needs water to maintain its elasticity, or ability to stretch. Since water is the ultimate moisturizer, water-based products are best for really getting the greatest moisture benefit.

Moisturizers are simply products that are water-based and nourish your hair deep within the strand. Products with moisturizing properties tend to be your conditioners and other specific moisturizer sprays or creams. Moisturizers may also contain large amounts of protein, but these protein based moisturizers do not have the moisturizing benefit that moisture-based moisturizers have. Check labels to gauge protein content. Good moisturizers will not contain cheap, filler ingredients like petrolatum, mineral oil, or lanolin. Avoid products that claim moisturizing benefits and contain these ingredients. There is nothing moisturizing about them! Petrolatum and mineral oil are sealants that seal out the precious moisture our hair needs.

Sealing in your Moisturizers:

Our hair naturally contains moisture, but because our hair is also naturally porous, keeping the moisture inside is a difficult task. Providing additional sources of outside moisture, or external moisture supplementation, is a must for black hair care. Water molecules and moisture from these supplemental moisturizing products easily pass into the hair shaft, but they pass out just as easily. The moisture you apply needs to held in by something. Oil.

Natural oils like jojoba, olive, carrot, or coconut oil seem to work best."

I think I may look around for some more later..
Thanks to all the brand new subscribers! You really don't have to...but i guess you already knew that...

New Growth: The Myth Slasher Series - Part II
By: Yardley Messeroux

Myths tend to keep natural newbies from enjoying their transition. So we're doing away with those age old misconceptions and making room for new growth.

Myth: Women who wear their hair in its natural state are more conscious than women that don't.
Myth Slasher: This is one of those myths that makes you roll your eyes and have a little chuckle. It's such an outdated myth and quite silly if you ask me. Where it stems from - who knows? But I wouldn't dismiss the idea that it originated from the initial neo-soul craze in the early 2000s. It may even be reflective of the concept behind the Black Panther movement in the 60's. Regardless of how the thought was incepted, it is absolutely false.

You can't put a face to natural hair. You can't put a personality to natural hair. And you most definitely can't measure someone's consciousness based on their natural hair-that's for sure. However, yes this may be a myth, but it does come from some truth. And that truth is, many women that flaunt their hair how it grows naturally are conscious of the natural beauty of their hair and/or the health risks of applying harmful chemicals to their scalp. But more or less deep and righteous, that can not be said.

Myth: Once you go natural, it's not necessary to go to the hair salon anymore.
Myth Slasher: If you are savvy at washing, conditioning, styling, trimming, coloring and all the other skills that stylists are training and experienced to do, more power to you, you fabulous natural newbie. But for me personally, I enjoy having a professional care for my hair and to experience their styling creativity. So, I leave it up to the professionals.

It isn't mandatory that you render salon services, just like it wasn't mandatory when you had a perm. But when you think about it, was it the best practice to apply a box perm to your scalp on your own at home? Not really. So is going to the salon absolutely necessary? That's relative, but highly recommended; at least periodically.

Myth: Chemical relaxers make your hair grow faster, longer, and healthier.
Myth Slasher: That couldn't be further from the truth. Hair growth is not stimulated by a harsh chemical. Just take a moment to think about this one. This is another myth that might make you chuckle a bit. A chemical straightener may not retard hair growth completely, but it definitely doesn't promote faster, longer and most definitely not healthier hair growth. Hair growth happens in seasons, so how do you measure the speed of growth anyway? Hmm.

Nonetheless, this myth can cause confusion due to the fact that straigtened hair appears longer than natural hair with all things being equal. This is due to two factors.

1. If not combed and cared for correctly, natural hair can break more easily and more often, slowing down the progress of lengthy hair growth.
2. Straightened hair generally appears longer than natural hair because, um well, it's straight! Natural hair has texture and shrinkage components, so of course it will look shorter than its relaxed counterparts.

Healthy hair growth is what's most important, and the major stimulators of healthy hair growth are:

• A healthy hair maintenance regimen
• Quality natural hair products
• Healthy eating habits
• A cleansed system
• A regular workout program
• And SLEEP (at least 8 hrs.)

And remember, too much, or too little of one thing isn't a good thing, so apply balance to all of the above, and you'll be good to 'grow'!

Alright, so...
Before I begin with some new things I learnt about Hair care...I need to get stuff off my chest:

I am starting to lurve off:

Hey hey heyy!!

Well, it is march break and I am not bored, but I feel like I do not have ENOUGH to do!! When I was in Ottawa I was always so busy, and now I barely have things to do. A friend and I went downtown yesterday to find a bunch of protesting Tamils all over the streets, which, not to be mean, ruined my day. Besides the fact that, it wasn't as warm as the weatherman said it would be. I bought a pair of sunglasses, carrot cake muffin, and we ate Harvey's. I had an original hamburger.

Yeah, I know, you don't care... but I just thought I would get that out of the way.

While I was downtown though, I noticed A BUNCH of people with dreads, and they were all long and neat!! It was like, they were all in hiding, and then came out of hiding once they saw everyone start loving on Wayne's or something.
It is sooo, odd.

Okay, so I snipped my hair a bit, after taking out the extensions and I have been sporting the curly fro type thing since. Photo? Alright...
yeah.. that was taken out of rushing out the door-ness.

But you get it.

I have a feeling that I may end up waiting another month. I know what your thinking: You said you were ready, and two textures were queer, and you couldn't wait to get rid of the "crap"
well...I am only going to wait for one or two months to pass. If I cannot deal with it for two months, then the only option is to chop it off right? right. So it seems that I wasn't totally as ready as I thought I was, but I'l get there....haha. Aww, I hope no one is disappointed, but honestly it takes a bunch load of guts to do this sort of thing, especially if you're like me, you has never NEVER never had short short hair in her life.

Anyways....
There is not much else to say...

I passed through Kanye's Blog, and saw that Bat for Lashes has a new song, and peoples, I have like Bat For Lashes WAYY before Kanye made his admiration public, and I am very proud of this fact. Anyways, it's called 'Daniel', and if you want to watch the Music Video just plop yourself onto Kanye(ezzziies)'s blog. It is there. Actually, I will just post the video too...but you can still check it out there...

Daniel - Bat For Lashes
Bat for Lashes or FREKUM AWESOME, okay...they are the Cat's Pyjamas.
While we are on the sunbect of music, I will confess that back in the day i was a j-pop j-rock FAN to the the extreme and was in love with Naime Amuro's music...so now I will share her possibly new video: "Wild"...which kind of reminds me of Feedback by Janet Jackson, but let's not go there.

Wild- namie amuro -
Yup...

33 "followers" sweet, one is someone I know personally too...weird, but Sweet.

So, I'm going to get a move on now, just updating everyone on what is UPPERS with "I and I" or "Ianeye" or whatever the Rastafarians say....
you know what I am trying to say.

S'laters!
