Great for hair inspiration for style savvy teens / young adults who dont want their natural hair getting in the way of their overall appearance. Instead we want to make the hair work with our style instead of against it.
VIST IT! http://naturalhairteens.tumblr.com/

I am still sick...
I am not so happy about the fact that today is SUNDAY and tomorrow is MONDAY, and yes I know that there is only three more weeks of school , but still!! Days are going by sorta slowly and fast at the same time.. I know i have to step up my game for the next couple weeks in all my courses so that the teachers know I'm "fo' reals"....
I still haven't sewn that cuff on those DIY jean shorts, but I'll get to it in time. I may want to wear them sometime this week, if they look good. I got the inspiration from that photo of the asian chick wih those shorts. I'm probably going to bite that whole entire outfit... Haha.
I am eagerly anticipating the new season of HBO's "True Blood". That show is pretty serious right now. At first I thought it was WAY too much like Twilight, but there is quite a difference, even if it isn't a big one. It's pretty addictive too, so.... yeah. I'm awaiting for it, for sure.

Still in need of a job, so I have officially made the date of when I am going to go JOB HUNTING and that is most definitely going to be like Friday or Saturday, or maybe even Sunday. Haha. Seriously, cause I need a job. I NEED SOME MONEY. I can't even afford BUS FAIR sometimes, and I mean BUS FAIR to get to school. It's horrid.
So, yeah. We've (when I say ''we've'' I mean me, tooHeartless and Rosa, and the rest of my friends) have been hanging around a same group of dudes for quite some time now, so I got word from one of my friends this afternoon, that we wil be chilling with "new guys". Ugh. I really don't even care right now. I mean, it was good to know, I guess. However, I'm not into the hanging out with a different slue of guys every couple of weeks or months. It's harmless shit, just so you don't think we're a bunch of hoolians or hoes, cause we aren't...i'm just saying...
However, I was getting bored of those dudes, they were all getting a bit too closer for comfort, as you may have already figured out on account of my prior posts, so the fact that we're going to be with other dude it's kinda like a 1UP. if life were like Mario SUPER BROS....

I
I stink of OREGANO OIL. it's all up in my room and in my system. Ugh. It kinda smells odd. My friend Shantii got off her cold, she probably used pills or something. However, my household is having some phase where we only use NATURAL PRODUCTS. So it may take me EVEN LONGER to get better! Ugh.
It's working though.
I'm angry with my playlist, cause they disabled my favourite song!! So I'm just going to post it here.... embedding doesn't work so i'm just going to link it. It's really sexy. I think so anyway. I have been listening to it ALL DAY LONG. It's better than the RADIO VERSION of Birthday Sex. Oh yeah, it's by Jeremih. Or whatever his name is...
He's fooyne.

So remember how I was like "Au Natural" is the new Black?
Well, I guess it's not only going for Hair, but beauty too. As in make-up is apparently "out" and being yourself is "in". Can you believe how ridiculous that sounds? Haha! I read up on it.

I was thinking, with all the buzz over Elle magazine creating a series of covers of stars sans fards (without make-up, but of course, still avec le fotoshoppe) and Katie Holmes venturing out for an event (gasp) without make-up, does this mean we have really come this far away from accepting natural beauty that these sorts of things shock us?
I wonder what the hooplah is all about. I don’t think “bare faces” should be considered a “trend” any more than drinking water or eating food should be considered “trendy,” but I’m beginning to wonder if that is the sort of territory we are approaching.
In honor of whatever this movement may be, here’s my mug sans fards and my hair, out of the shower and slept on. Oh, and a really shiny spot on my forehead.
On a personal note, I’ve always wished my eyes were bigger and wider set, and have always wanted to get a nose job. Then, in the midst of all this thinking about natural beauty, I thought to myself, why? Have I gotten so used to the way my face looks when it’s all dolled up that I fail to appreciate it’s natural beauty? That is truly a sad day.
I sort of hope that this no-makeup movement will make bare faces the norm rather than shocking (i.e. news worthy). I’d really like to see the standard of beauty shift. Let’s be serious, you know you wear all of that make-up because you think you look better that way. I hope more women will be able to throw away the “what I’m supposed to look like” mentality and just embrace the way they actually look (myself included). Maybe we would be better off commenting on whether or not women have any other setting besides “hot tranny” and “circus clown.”
Here’s to natural beauty.

I cant seem to get back my font....lol.
so uh, yeah.
Moving on:
I tried some DIY yesterday and made myself some cuffed dark jean shorts. I still have to sew the cuff.
Until Then....
I'm gonna be home, drinking water with 5 drops of Oregano oil, downing some sore throat relief spray, and doing my laundry.... Maybe I won't have to go to school tomorrow... :D
S'later!

Okay, so I thought I was tired...turns out I'm not.
I want to change the layout and overall look of this blog, I'm getting mega-bored of this look now...
Like I want to keep the sketch, it's cute. However, I think I just want a different layout. I've tried fixing it up myself however, as much as I'd like to be MEGA technosavy, I'm not. So, if anyone's reading this, and knows how to do this...teach me, or just message me or something and help a girl out. I don;t know, I just get bored easily, so I want to switch it up a bit...but no matter what I do...I fail miserably.
So anyone out there...
holla at meh!
:D
Anyways, once again out of UTTER boredom I'm up here checking on soe DIY fashion bloggers, cause I always find them quite interesting. Ugh, I need a life, a job, and a glass of water. I just looked at my hands and no matter how many times i lotion them, they look dry and scary! Ugh, how much water must I really drink man! I bring water with me to school everyday! GAWD!
Water tastes so BLAH.

I have decided that I will have to just settle for...McDonalds.
AHH!
How can I go from working at The Gap to working at McFRICKENDonalds?!
I'll tell you how; by really needing cash and settling for anything legal. FML.
SO while I was reminiscing on the days where I USED to have cash, i decided to go lurking around for nice...HOLD UP.
My news channel is playing "no games" by SERANI....hahaha!!!
Okay anyways, back to what I was saying before I was hilariously interrupted..
I decided to look for some nice gladiator sandals and pumps online.
My friends bought pair yesterday at ALDO...I was a bit annoyed that I only bought shorts, cause I really wanted a pair for myself...-cries-

Alright, so...
Before I begin with some new things I learnt about Hair care...I need to get stuff off my chest:
I am starting to lurve off:
Long sundresses are in....
Yay!..?
Well, i like to be covered, so .... yeah.
Just not to the ankles...thats a bit extra.
Anyways...
I think other people know this...but I just found out that CASTOR OIL encourages hair growth, and it was used with Almond oil by the Egyptians. I love those egyptians.
And since I love then and thier fabulous ideas...this whole post will be about them and thier awesome hair care ideas:
ROSEMARY OIL: Rosemary Oil is the modern oil commonly associated with stimulating hair growth. Rosemary is a common Mediterranean plant, and may very well have been familiar to some Egyptian doctors, although there's little evidence for its use. Interestingly, Rosemary has also been used at present to subtly darken hair and to bring out the highlights in darker hair.
CASTOR OIL: The following formula can be used to stimulate hair growth or merely to improve the texture and appearance of one's hair. Almond Oil and Castor Oil were among the vegetable oils used by the Egyptians. Castor Oil is frequently used in an attempt to encourage hair growth but it has a very viscous texture. Mixing it with the Sweet Almond Oil will improve the aroma and make the resulting oil smoother and more easily spread. However, if you wish to somewhat reproduce the stickiness and "tacky" feel of resin from the original formula, eliminate the Sweet Almond Oil and double the proportion of Castor. (which i do, cause i don't know where to find Almond oil)
Scalp and Hair Stimulation Oil
One Teaspoon Sweet Almond Oil
One Teaspoon Castor Oil
10 Drops Essential Oil of Fir Needle (Abies spp)
OR Essential Oil of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Mix the Sweet Almond Oil together with the Castor Oil in a small bowl and then add no more than 10 drops of Essential Oil. Mix with your fingers and then rub vigorously into your scalp, concentrating on areas where hair is thinning.

So, for all the information I got for now...and I went on Hairlicious.com to find that there is a CASTOR OIL CHALLENGE going on strong right now, and I may just jump on the Bandwagon.
You may check it out here: http://hairlicious.blogspot.com/2009/02/castor-oil-challenge.html
her hair isn't natural, but it IS long...
so.. lets do this!!
Since I am a bit late on the challenge, i shall start TODAY. and i don't know when I should end it....
we can see how the growth goes every month i guess.
But basically, I have to oil my scalp twice a week with castor oil (which i am running out of...damn).
Whoot!

In hopes for an early spring, I have been seriously checking out springtime lines by various designers, though I may not be able to purchase, it is very nice to see what is in store for the season, so i can do my little twist on it.
Like I normally do.
So let's start:
Jumpsuits: Jumpsuits are being seen quite a lot.
Personally, I don't think I can really rock them.
I really don't know what to say about Jumpsuits...
Their practicallity= 7/10, I think this is because you can definetely do a lot with jumpsuits. You can wear a belt with it to make it seem not so One-Piecey, you can throw on a jacket/blazer/vest with it. I like the jumpsuit shorts. I think they look cute.
Jumpsuit's Style= 9.7/10 for me anyway. I see them a lot lately, it is only a matter of time until they're in walmart, unless they already are, I don't know.
For Jewlery:
HEAVY jewelry seems to be out ish.
Its more refined then anything else, and the heavy gold accessories were left in the snow.
There is a lot of emphasis on necks, and are more organic and graphic than heavy chunky stuff from winter.
A combo of semi-precious/precious stones and chains.
OKAY.
Enough of that....for now.
PRODUCT HAUL YALL.
Facial Care:
Ganier Fructis creme cleanser- oil free.
9.9/10
Chyeah. I love this lovaly creme cleanser.
If you are like me, and have naturally oily skin, you should really use this. It leaves your skin not very dry, but very oily either. It is just balanced.
The only set back was probably you cannot feel it working.
But other than that, its really good to use in the cold wether as part of your cold weather regimen.
BAKING SODA.
9/10
It is quite good. It balances PH and can be used as a natural exfoliant. Which is great.
Takes away acne scars over time and evens your skin tone as well. The only set back would b, you cannot just leave the house after. YOU MUST MOISTURIZE RIGHT AFTER.
Or else your sins gonna like you wiped it in powder.
SHEA BUTTER.
10/10
Shea Butter rocks my ass!!
I love it, makes me feel smooth, makes me smell good.
My skin was chapped during the holidays and I used shea butter and it went straight away!
It is really good, especially after exfoliating with baking soda.
BURT'S BEES HERBAL BLEMISH STICK.
so far so good..
I have heard really good reviews, and it has made some blemishes go down and its only been one day...EVEN BLACKHEADS!!
Hair Care:
DAX HAIR AND SCALP LIGHT WEIGHT POMADE.
10/10.
I dont really like the heavy things, cause i donlt like how it feels.
But the light weight pomade feels great and DOES ITS JOB like a great pole dancer.
lol.
SHEA BUTTER.
10/10
This shit is good for everything.
skin and hair. ITS SO GREAT. Just use it.
done for now.
